You’ll start in a Cold & Dark state—switches off, engines silent—or in a Turnaround State, taking over from the previous crew. Just like real airline pilots, you’ll set up the aircraft using real-world procedures and flight data.

Push back from the gate, taxi to the runway, and take off under manual control. Once airborne, you’ll climb to a cruising altitude of 28,000 feet, then engage the autopilot and start preparing for your descent into Wellington International Airport.

With your co-pilot assisting with navigation and charts, you’ll be in charge of setting the correct approach, tuning the right radio frequencies, and configuring the aircraft for landing.

As you approach Queenstown, prepare for the famous RNAV approach—a breathtaking route weaving through mountainous terrain. With no ILS to guide you, it’s all about precision, timing, and judgement. After navigating the tight turns through the valleys, you’ll switch to visual flight for the final approach and attempt a smooth touchdown on Queenstown’s narrow runway.

This is the closest you can get to flying a real jet airliner—no experience required, but nerves of steel are a bonus.

With help from your co-pilot reading charts and confirming your setup, you’ll configure the aircraft for descent. As you reach 11,000 feet, you’ll disengage the autopilot and take full manual control for a ILS approach into Christchurch Airport.

Once you’ve nailed the landing, taxi to the gate and shut the aircraft down—just like the pros.
